Vintage Art Deco frame reverse-painted glass picture frame 9”x7” 1920’s-1930’s

Reverse-painted glass. The intricate black and gold decorative flourishes are painted directly onto the back side of the glass panel before it is assembled, shielding the paint from surface wear. Classic Art Deco combination of cream (ecru), black, and metallic gold accents. Stepped, skyscraper-style chrome or nickel-plated metal corners that clip the glass facade to the backing board, a signature element of tabletop frames from the interwar period. Shows very little wear for age.
