This is a 4" knife, my grandmother used as a letter opener. Not sure that was what it was made for. It looks like Jade or Jade like, to me but I don't know exactly. It does feel cool to the touch and if I hold it in my hand it does get warmer. I can't really confirm what it is made of but it does feel cool and heavier. If you have any questions please email me.
